Power of the Government to issue directions on policy matters. — (1) The Government through the Department of Higher Education may issue such directions from time to time to the University on policy matters not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act as it may deem necessary. Such directions shall be complied with by the University, failing which, the Government may take action against the University, in accordance with the Rules framed under this Act.
