Articles exposed to infection.— (1) The Secretary shall, from time to time, notify places at which articles of clothing or bedding or other articles which have been exposed ---37--- to infection from any dangerous or infectious disease may be washed or disinfected. (2) The Secretary may direct the destruction of clothing, bedding, or other articles likely to retain such infection. 86(3) Whoever washes such clothing or bedding or other articles at any place other than those set apart for such purposes under sub-section (1), shall, on conviction, be punished with fine which may extend to fifty rupees. “(3) Whoever washes such clothing or bedding or other articles at any place other than those set apart for such purposes under sub-section (1), shall be liable to a penalty which may extend to five hundred rupees.]
