Bar against officers, and servants being interested in contract.— (1) No Officer or servant of a Council shall, without the written permission of the Director, in any-wise be connected with or interested in any bargain or contract made with the Council for any of the purposes of this Act. (2) If any such officer or servant is so concerned or interested or, under colour of his office or employment, accepts any fee or reward whatsoever other than his proper salary or allowances, the appropriate authority may declare that he shall be incapable afterwards of holding or continuing in any office or employment under the Council. (3) Nothing in this section shall bar a prosecution under the next succeeding section.
