Exemptions.— Nothing in this Act shall apply to the land owned or held by Government, Government of any other state in India, Government of India, a local authority or Provedoria da Assistencia Publica. 18[Explanation:— The expression “the land owned or held by the Government” does not includes the land vested in the custodian under the Goa, Daman and Diu Administration of Evacuee Property Act, 1964 (Act No. 6 of 1964.)]
