Proviso substituted vide Amendment Act 24 of 2023. Original proviso read as follows:- Provided that for a second or subsequent offence under clause (vii) or clause (viii), such fine shall not be less than fifty rupees, and under other clause, such fine shall not be less than two hundred and fifty rupees: Provided further that in the case of a continuing offence, a daily fine not exceeding fifty rupees for every day during the period of the continuance of the offence shall also be imposed.
