Canal-Officer may cause obstruction to be removed.— If within the period specified in the order under section 12, any person does not comply with such order, the Canal-Officer, may cause the obstruction to be removed or modified and such person shall be liable to pay the expenses of removal or modification, and if the person does not, when called upon, pay the expenses of such removal or modification, such expenses shall be recoverable as an arrear of land revenue.
