Short title, extent and commencement.— (1) This Act may be called the Goa, Daman and Diu Preservation of Trees Act, 1984. (2) It shall extend to the whole of the Union territory of Goa, Daman and Diu. (3)It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification, appoint. 1-A.1 [omitted}
