Principle on which and manner in which compensation should be determined.— (1) In determining the amount of compensation, the authority assessing the compensation shall be guided, so far as may be, by the provisions of sections 23 and 24 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, and as to matters which cannot be dealt with under those provisions by such provisions as may be prescribed. (2) The authority assessing compensation for any land acquired by or under the provisions of this Act shall exercise all the powers and perform all the functions of a Court of original jurisdiction and (so far as may be) shall follow the same procedure as may be followed by a Court under the Land Acquisition Act, 1894. (3) The decision of an authority assessing compensation shall subject to the provisions of section 342, be final. (4) In this section "land" includes immovable property of every kind and any rights in or over such property. --132-- Complaint on Injury
