Police protection at fairs, etc.— When special police protection is, in the opinion of the State Government, necessary on the occasion of any fair, agricultural show or industrial exhibition managed by the Corporation, or for the purpose of guarding houses evacuated through plague or other epidemic, the State Government may provide such protection, and the Corporation shall pay the charges thereof or such part of them as the State Government considers equitable.
