Section 12

Record to be made by Forest-Settlement-officer.--

The Forest-Settlement-officer, when passing any order under section eleven, shall record, so far as may be practicable,-- (a) the name, father's name, caste, residence and occupation of the person claiming the right; (b) the designation, position and area of all fields or groups of fields (if any), and the designation and position of all buildings (if any), in respect of which the exercise of such rights is claimed.
