(1) This Act may be called the Dissolution of Muslim Marriages Act, 1939. (2) It extends to the whole of India [[x x x x]]. Subs. by Act 48 of 1959. Omitted by Act 34 of 2019. Prior to the omission it reads "except the State of Jammu and Kashmir"
