The Planning Board

The Planning Board.— (I) There shall be constituted a Planning Board of the University to be the principal planning body of the University and shall also be responsible for monitoring the development of the University. (2) The constitution of the Planning Board, the term of office of Its members and its powers and functions shall be such as may be prescribed. 27, The Departments and the Schools.— (1) There shall be such number of Departments and Schools of studies and research as the University may determine from time to time. (2) The constitution, powers and functions of a Department and School shall be such as may be prescribed. 28, The Finance Committee. -- (1) There shalt be a Finance Committee constituted by the Board of Management consisting of the following (a) The Vice-Chancellor—Chainnan; (b) The Principal Secretary or Secretary (Finance) to Government ex-officio; (c) The Principal Secretary or Secretary (Technical Education) to Government ex-officio; (d) Two other members nominated by the. Board of Management from amongst its members, of whom at least one should not be an employee of the University; (e) The Registrar of the University; (I) Controller of Finance will be the member secretary; (g) Such other members as may be presdribed by the Statutes; (2) The members orthe Finance Conunittee other than the Vice-Chancellor, shalt hold office so longs as they continue as members of the Board of Management. (5 The Vice-Chancellor shall preside over the meet- ings of the Finance Committee, and in his absence, a member elected at the meeting shall preside. In case of dif- ference of opinion among the members, the opinion 'of the majority of the members present shall prevail.
