(1) Any person claiming land free of revenue not Title to hold recorded as revenue-free shall be bound to prove his title to land free of hold such land free of revenue. revenue. I (2) If he proves his title to the satisfaction of the Sct- tlement Officer, the case shall be reported to the Chief Com- missioner whose orders shall be final. (3) If the title is not so proved, the Settlement O6cer shall proceed to assess the land and to make the settlement .of it with the pzrsons entitled to the land. t
