Certificate of appointment - (1) Every fire officer of the rank of sub-officer and below shall on enrolment receive a certificate of appointment. (2) The certificate shall be issued under the seal of such officer and shall be in such form as the Govt. may, by general or special order, prescribe. (3) A certificate of appointment shall become null and void when the person named therein ceases to belong to the Fire Service or shall remain inoperative during the period such person is suspended from the Fire Service. (4) The members of the Fire Service shall be governed by such rules as are applicable to Govt. servants in relation to the terms and conditions of their service and all other allied matters.
