Delhi Archaeological Council.- (1) There shall be constituted an Advisory Council for ancient and PART IV) DELHI GAZETIE : EXTRAORDINARY 17 historical monuments and archaeological sites and remains of State importance to be called in Delhi Archaeological Advisory Council (hereinafter referred to as the Advisory Council) for the purpose of advising the Government on matters of policy relating to the field of archaeology in the National Capital Territory ofDelhi. (2) The Advisory Council shall be constituted by the Government and shall consist of a Chairman who will be Minister ofEducation, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi and Director of the Department of Archaeology of the Government of National Capital TerritoryofDelhi will be Member Secretary and l6members to be nominated by the . Government for a period of two years and further subject to any rules made under this Act.
