Compulsory acquisition of a protected monument.-If the Government apprehends that a protected monument is in danger of being destroyed, injured, misused, or allowed to fall into decay, it may acquire the protected monument under the provision of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (I of 1894), as if the maintenance of protected monument were a public purpose within the meaning of that Act.
