[Act 6 of 1974] The Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 35 Whoever contravenes the provision of section 25 or section 26 shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than 1[one year and six months] but which may extend to six years and with fine.
