( 1 ) For ensuring transparency and proper functioning of the Tarpetcd Public Vlgffmcc Distribution System and accountability o f chc hnctionaoes in such system, every State Commrrtees Govcmmcnt shall s e ~ up Vigilance Committtcs asspecificd in the Public Distribution System (Control) Order, 2200 I , made under the Essential Commodities Act, 1955, as &ended from 10 1955 rime to time, at the Statc, DistricC Block and fiirprice shop tevelsconsistingofsuch persons, as may be prcsfribcd by thc State Government gjving due representation b the local authorities, the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, women and destitute persons or persons with disability.
