(1) The State Government shall be responsible for irnpleme~~tation and monitoring of the schemcs of various Ministries and Departments of the Central Government in accordance with guidelines issucd by the Ccntral Government for each scheme, and thcir own schemes, far ensuring food security to the targeted beneficiaries irr their Statc. (2) Under the Targeted Public Distribution System, il shall be the duty of the State Government to-- ( 0 ) take delivery or foodgrains &om the designated depots af the Ccntral Government in the State, at the prices specified in Schedule 1, organise inw-State allocations for delivery of the allgated foodgrains through their authorised agencies a1 the door-step of each fair price shop, and (b) erisure actual delivery or supply of the foodgrains to &e entitled persons at the prices sptcified in Schedule 1.
