(I) The Central Governmenl may, by notification, direct that the d*'Fby CuimI powers exercisable by it (ejtcept the power to make rules), in such Gwrmmcnland circumstances and subject to such conditions and limitations, be sw Ga~mmcnl. exercisable also by the Statc Govemment or an offxcer subordinate to the Central Govemment or the State Government as it may specify in the notification. (2) The State Government may, by notifica~ion, direct that the powers exercisable by it (except the power to make rules), in such circumstances and subject to such conditions and limitations, be exercisable also by an officer subordinate to it as it may specify in h e notification.
