Power to order closure of place.- Upon a convictioh being obtained in respect of the use of any place for any purpose without a licence or permi- ssion or in contravention of the conditions subject to which any licence or permission may have been granted, the Magistrate may, on the application of the authority competent to grant such licence or permission but not otherwSse, order such place to be closrd,:and thereupon appbint any person or persons or 'bake other steps to'.pievent such place being so used. . . .. .&- I. :,
