Public notice how to be made known.— Every public notice given under this Act or the rules or regulations made thereunder shall be in writing over the signature of the Secretary to the Board or any Planning and Development Authority, as the case may be, or such other officer who may be authorised in this behalf by the Board or Planning and Development Authority and shall be widely made known in the locality to be affected thereby by affixing copies thereof in conspicuous public places within the said locality, or by publishing the same by beat of drum or by advertisement in a local newspaper and by such other means which the Secretary to the Board or the Planning and Development Authority thinks fit.
