Power of Government to suspend provisions of the Act during fairs and festivals.— On any special occasion in connection with a fair or festival or a succession of public holidays, the Government may by notification, suspend for a specified period the operation of all or any of the provisions of this Act, subject to such conditions, as may be specified in such notification.
