Penalty for illegal hiring or procuring of conveyances at election.— If any person is guilty of any such corrupt practice as is specified in clause (5) of section 23 at Manual of Goa Laws (Vol. III) – 295 – Municipality Act or in connection with an election, he shall, on conviction, be punished with fine which may extend to two hundred and fifty rupees.
