Farming of tools.— (1) It shall be lawful for a Council to lease by public auction the levy of any toll that may be imposed under this Act: Provided that the lessee shall give security for the due fulfilment of the conditions of the lease. (2) Where any toll has been leased under this section, any person employed by the lessee to collect such toll shall, subject to the conditions of the lease, exercise the powers and perform the duties conferred and imposed by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 136 on a person appointed to collect a toll, and any property seized, shall be dealt with as if it has been seized under the provisions of that section: Provided that no property seized may be sold except under the orders of the Chief Officer. (4) Supplementary provisions regarding taxes.
