Compensation when due and interest payable.— All sums of money payable for compensation awarded under this Part shall become due three months after the final award is made, under section 29 and simple interest at the rate twelve percent per annum shall be allowed on any sum remaining unpaid after the said three months, except when the non-payment of such is caused by the neglect or refusal of the claimant to apply for or receive the same.
