Power to order production of accounts.— The authority prescribed under sub- -section (1) of section 10, the Tax Officer or any officer empowered in this behalf by the Government may, by order, require any registered owner to produce such accounts, registers and documents, and to furnish such information relating to the barge or the goods transported as may be specified in the order.
