Responsibility for maintaining boundary marks.— Every person who holds land or is in possession thereof shall be responsible for the maintenance and good care of the boundary marks and survey marks of his holding and for any charge reasonably incurred on account of the same by the revenue officers in case of alteration, removal or disrepair. It shall be the duty of the Revenue Officers to prevent the destruction or unauthorised alteration of the village boundary marks of survey marks.
