(1) In determining the amount of compensatjon, and effect of syep, the Deputy Commissioner shall be guided, so far as may award, be dealt with under those provisions, by what is just and rcasonable in the circumstances of each case. (2) The Deputy Commissioner may, with the sane- tion of the *[Centra] Government] and the consent of the person entitled, instead of money award compensation in Iand or by reduction in revenue or in any other form.
