Short title, extent and commencement.—(1) This Act may be called the Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971. (2) It extends to the whole of India. (3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 16th day of September, 1958 except sections 11, 19 and 20 which shall come into force at once.
