(1) This Act may be called the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995. (2) It extends to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir. (3) It shall come into force on such date1 as the Central Government may, by notification, appoint. Came into force on 07/02/1996, vide S.O. 107 (E), dated 7th February, 1996.
