If any person- (a) Contravenes any of the provisions of this Act or any rule made there under; or (b) To who a direction is given or a requisition is made under this Act fails to comply with the direction or requisition, he shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both.
