If any person abets an offence punishable under abetmen. the last preceding section, he shall, whether such offence be or be not committed in consequence of such gbetment, and notwithstanding anything contained in section 116 of XLy of 1¢60. the Indian Penal Code, beliable on conviction to be punish- ed withthe punishment, provided for the offence.
