(1) This Act may be called the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897. [(2) It extends to the whole of India x x x] [x x x] [x x x] Subs. by the A.0. 1950. The words, figures and letters "except the territories which, immediately before the 1st November, 1956, were comprised in Part B States" omitted by Act 34 of 2020, S.2 (w.e.f. 22-4-2020).
