(1) Nothing contained in section 562 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (5 of 1898)2, or in the Probation of Offenders Act, 1958 (20 of 1958), shall apply to a person convicted of an offence under this Act unless that person is under eighteen years of age. (2) The provisions of sub-section (1) shall have effect notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (3) of section 135.] Ins. by Act 36 of 1973, sec. 11 (w.e.f. 01/09/1973).
