Section 23

Definition of “produce of a holding.

In sections 24 to 30 (both inclusive) the produce of a holding means-- (a) crops and other products of the earth standing or ungathered on the holding; (b) crops and other products of the earth which have been grown on the holding and have been reaped or gathered and are deposited on the holding or on a threshing-ground, or are stored, by a tenant of the land on which they have been grown, within the village in which the holding is situate or the tenant resides.
