The Settlement-officer shall prepare for every mahal, or, if he thinks fit, for any group of neighbouring mahals, a record-of-rights, and shall include in it-- (a) the results of the inquiries made under this chapter in respect of such mahal or group; and (b) any other matters which the Chief Commissioner may, by rules in this behalf, direct to be entered in such paper.
