(1) In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires: (a) 'Act' means the Electricity Regulatory Commissions Act, 1998 (Act 14 of 1998) (b) 'Commission' means the Central Commission constituted under the Act; (c) 'Officer' means an officer of the Commission; (d) 'Petition' means and includes all petitions, applications, complaints, appeals, replies, rejoinders, supplemental pleadings, other papers and documents; (e) 'Proceedings' mean and include proceedings of all nature that the Commission may hold in the discharge of its function under the Act; (f) 'Regulations' means these Regulations; (g) 'Secretary' means the Secretary of the Commission. (2) Words or expressions occurring in these Regulations and not defined herein but defined in the Act shall bear the same meaning as in the Act. (3) The provisions of the General Clauses Act, 1897 as amended from time to time shall apply to these Regulations.
