(1) This Act may be called the Indian Boilers Act, 1923. [(2) It extends to the whole of India [2A[x x x x].] (3) It shall come into force on such date3 as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. Subs. by the A.O. 1950, for sub-section (2). Subs. by the Act 3 of 1951, sec. 3 and Sch., for "except Part B States". Omitted by Act 34 of 2019. Prior to the omission it reads "except the State of Jammu and Kashmir" Came into force on 01/01/1924, vide Notification No. A-61, dated 4th December, 1923, see Gazette of India, 1923, Pt. I, p. 1695.
