Substitution of Section-8 of Registration Act, 1908 (Act 16, 1908).— Section-8 of the Registration Act, 1908 shall be substituted as follows: - “8- Deputy Inspector General of Registration and Other Officers- (1) the State Government may also appoint one or more Deputy Inspector General of Registration and Assistant Inspector General of Registration and may prescribe the duties of such officers. (2) Every such Deputy Inspector General of Registration and Assistant Inspector General of Registration shall be subordinate to the Inspector General of Registration. (3) The State Government may also authorise such officers to perform all or some of the duties of Inspector General of Registration.”
