Powers of the Excise Officer.— (1) All excise officers mentioned in Section-73 shall exercise the powers of the officer-in-charge of a police station in his area of jurisdiction for thepurposes of this Act. (2) The area to which an excise officer is empowered under Section-73 shall be deemed to be a police station.
