Extension of period of order.—The Collector may, after giving reasons to be recorded in writing and if he is satisfied that in the interest of the general public or any member of the public, the period specified in the order made under section-66, be extended, he shall be competent to extend the period which, however, shall not exceed two years in the aggregate.
