Appointment ofExcise Officers.—The State Government may confer the powers of excise officer to Excise Commissioner, Additional Commissioners, Joint commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, Excise Superintendents, Excise Deputy Superintendents, Inspectors and such other officers and staff as it may deem fit for the purpose of performing the functions under this Act.
