Restrictions on Vehicles carrying intoxicants etc.—The State Government may lay down reasonable restrictions on the vehicles transporting any excisable articles or final products and may require them to adhere to certain specifications. Provided further that the State Government may require the transport vehicles to install such devices as it may require as a pre condition for registration under the Motor Vehicles Act and give such directions to the State Transport Authority as it deems fit.
