Short title, extent and commencement :– (1) This Act may be called the Bihar Panchayat Raj (Amendment) Act, 2015. (2) It shall extend to the whole of the State of Bihar. (3) It shall come into force at once excluding the amendment made by section 15 of this Amendment Act, 2015 and the amendment made by Section 15 shall come into force with effect from 1st January, 2016.
