Assignment of functions – (1) The Government may assign to a Panchayat Samiti functions in relation to any matters to which the executive authority of the Government extends or the functions which have been assigned to State Government by the Central Government. (2) The Government may, by notification, withdraw or modify the functions assigned under this section.
