Sub.-Cl. (a) omitted by Act 54 of 1994, S. 2 ( w.e.f. 14-11-1994 ). Prior to its omission, sub- Cl.(a) read as under :- “(a) in the manufacture of motor vehicles ; or”. 9 (b) in building bodies for attachment to chassis; (c) or in the repair of motor vehicles; or (d) in the business of hypothecation, leasing or hire-purchase of motor vehicle; Corresponding Law.- Section 2(8) corresponds to section 2(4) of the Motor Vehicle Act, 1939.
