Whoever, in contravention of the provisions of this Act or regulations or license conditions, engages in the business of transmission of energy shall be punishable with fine which may extend to three thousand rupees and in case of a continuing contravention, with a daily fine which may extend to three hundred rupees.] Ins. by Act 22 of 1998, sec. 6 (w.e.f. 31/12/1998).
