Employment of agents - (1) Any party to a suit before the Deputy Commissioner under this Act may employ an agent to conduct the case on his behalf; but, the appointment of an agent shall not excuse the personal attendance of the plaintiff or defendant in cases where his personal attendance is required by the summons or by any order of the Deputy Commissioner. (2) Processes served on any such agent shall be as effectual for all purposes in relation to the suit as if they had been served on the party in person and all the provisions of this Act relating to the service of processes on a party to the suit shall be applicable to the service of processes on such agent.
