Voting by proxy.

1 * * * Every proprietor entitled to vote at any general meeting may give a proxy in writing, general or special, limited or unlimited, and signed by himself or by his attorney duly authorized thereunto, to any other proprietor; and 2 * * * the proprietor to whom the proxy is given, may vote on behalf of the proprietor who had given the proxy, according to the terms of such proxy.
